WHO IS THIS FOR?

In the midst of the exhaustion and overwhelm, parents of children impacted by disabilities and special needs wrestle through a unique set of emotions like grief, anger, and guilt.

It’s not uncommon to have a crisis of faith and wonder how a good, loving, all-powerful God could allow hard and painful things happen to their child. The God of reality doesn’t match what they were taught in Sunday school.

These emotions and faith questions amplifying the exhaustion and the overwhelm.

Can you relate to any of this?

I know I can. Both my wife Sarah and I have backgrounds in counseling but more importantly we have personally walked this journey of disability and special needs with our youngest son. We have wrestled through the hard emotions and questions and don’t want to see other parents struggle like we did.

That is why we create the Hope Anew Workshop!

If you can relate to any of the above, we would love for you to click the JOIN NOW button and join us on the inside!

My husband and I received rich benefit from the online Hope and Healing Workshop. Going through the material together with such experienced and compassionate leaders, helped us make time for listening to each other. In a life full of doctors appointments and demands, we let time go by without caring for us. The online format and time made it feasible, and the caring manner of the McGuires allowed for healing in places we didn’t know we needed.

“Thank you, I really needed to be with people that just “get it”. The more I travel down this road, I have come to many new understandings and one huge one is that I have been speaking to the wrong people about things of the heart. Things that unless you are walking in our special needs world, you won’t be really understood therefore leaving a vacuum in my soul for that need to be understood. So I’m with “my people” via your small group and I want you and your wife to know that you are hitting the nail on the head by providing this outlet.”

~ Tim

The topics which were discussed were pertinent to the challenges that we face. Jonathan & Sarah truly understood the struggle. Some of the topics which were most helpful to me included coping with chronic grief, wrestling with God, how God uses suffering, dealing with guilt, and lamenting.  As we delved into each topic, we were always brought back to Scripture, asking what God says about these things. I appreciated that Jonathan and Sarah brought a fresh perspective to Biblical passages and stories which I have read numerous times.
