1. Who should attend?
Any parent of a child with special needs. If married, it is best if couples can attend together.
2. What types of special needs are encompassed?
The material is applicable to all types of special needs whether it is emotional, neurological or physical. If the severity of the special need is severe enough that it impacts your daily life or requires you to adapt your daily life, this workshop is for you.
3. What if I can't attend a regional workshop?
Please contact us about our online options.
4. Can I meet with someone from Hope Anew individually?
While we would love to meet with everyone one on one, the most benefit comes from interacting in the groups at our regional and online workshops. However, we will make ourselves available to meet with parents directly in certain circumstances. Please contact us.
5. I don't see a workshop in my area.
If there is not a workshop in your area, talk to us about becoming an advocate to bring a workshop to your area.
6. I want to meet with other parents whose children have similar special needs.
Don't let the type of special need keep you from interacting in a group of parents impacted by different special needs. We have found that at the core most parents go through a similar emotional and spiritual struggle, despite the needs of the child.
When our regional workshops are large enough, we try to seat parents with others whose children have similar special needs. If you are part of a network of parents whose children have special needs, feel free to contact us about hosting a Hope & Healing workshop for your group.
Also, please join our Facebook page here to connect with other parents. As it grows, you will better be able to connect with parents in similar situations.
